Systems Engineering Tim Ogletree Tim's interest in audio began as a teen with his first guitar. Music gradually grew into an interest in audio that continued through his college years at Auburn University. Many experiences with live production came during those years playing in bands and providing reinforcement in partnership with a local music store. After receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering, Tim continued to actively pursue these interests on the side. In 1998, Tim accepted a position as a Designer with Sonics Associates, an Imax Company, where he was able to bring together his operational experience, engineering education, and passion for communication through media systems. Tim's work involved commercial designs which integrated high-quality, large-scale integrated audio, video, and automation systems such as the Science Museum of Minnesota Imax Theater. Tim and Ken McKibben founded MediaMerge in 2001 with the simple goal of bringing uncompromised quality, service, and value to commercial and worship facilities on every level. Tim's oversees all issues related to systems engineering and the continuous process of research and design into new technologies and methods to create advanced, high-quality installations that real people can use. His continuing education includes memberships in the Audio Engineering Society (AES), Acoustical Society of America (ASA), National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), and SynAudCon. Tim still enjoys being an active musician and working with production (when not chasing his four kids). |
