Church Sound Systems

church sound system design

MediaMerge™ designs and installs church sound systems for all types of venues including worship centers, multipurpose facilities, youth rooms, and performance halls. The MediaMerge Design team blends science, art, and experience to deliver exceptional church sound system solutions, custom designed to meet your needs. We deliver these results by addressing the technical and logistical issues completely throughout every stage of your project.

Key Issues for Church Sound System Design:

Coverage
Good coverage means consistent sound throughout the audience area. When designed properly, a church sound system should deliver the same experience to each seat in the house throughout the required frequency range. Essential for good speech intelligibility, it can make or break the performance of multi-channel systems.

MediaMerge uses Electro-Acoustical computer modeling to determine optimum choice, placement, and arraying of loudspeakers. This provides you with the assurance of predictable results.

System Format
Common church sound system formats include mono, stereo, Left-Center-Right (LCR), and variations thereof. Type of use and style of music are common factors which influence format choice. Not every room will support each format type. Therefore, it’s important to design the seating layout to accommodate the desired format or to fully understand the limitations when integrating it into an existing structure. With multi-channel systems, such as LCR, the complexity of designing effective solutions increases significantly and requires a thorough understanding of the underlying principles.

Quality Installation
Good design is only as effective as the implementation. System wiring methods with regards to grounding and signal routing must be properly maintained. Rigging procedures, training and proper equipment are imperative to guarantee safety. Attention to detail and consistent, organized installation practices and documentation assure system reliability, serviceability, and performance.

Flexibility & Ergonomics
While the complexity and flexibility of a system may seem to oppose its ease of use, this is not always the case. Often, the success of a system is judged not by what the system does well, but by how many different things it can do well at a moment’s notice.

The designers at MediaMerge have spent countless hours in the trenches and understand the challenges that mix engineers face, as well as the design qualities that take a church sound system’s performance from functional to remarkable. We take a great deal of pride in developing innovative solutions that make systems both powerful and easy to use.
